The ventilation tube is made of cardboard and ships flat. At the job site, the tube is spread open and a self-expander is used to ensure the tube will not collapse.

The tube is designed to allow unrestricted air flow from the outside of the home, through the eave vent. The tube is manufactured to work with truss construction only where blown or batt insulation could block the airway.
